ENGINEERED BLADDER FOAM SYSTEM

These systems hold foam in a pressurized bladder contained in a vertical or horizontal steel tank shell. Site specific engineering dictates the size of the tank and plumbing system. The agent dispenses from foam sprinkler head(s).

FOAM SPRINKLER HEAD

These special sprinkler heads are used with a bladder foam system. They are available with a ½” inlet that flows 5 gallons per minute or with a ¾” inlet that flows 20 gallons per minute.

FOAM MAKER – HIGH BACK PRESSURE

Foam maker is usually installed in a dedicated line outside the area. This method is not suitable on tanks containing alcohols or polar solvents miscible in water. In accordance with NFPA 11 injection is not recommended for tanks having a floating roof.

FIXED OR SEMI-FIXED FOAM FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS

This foam system is designed for use with Open Top Floating Roof Tanks. It dispenses foam to the area of the rim seal area.
