The HOT SHIELD®
Model HS-4 is an extremely heat & flame resistant respirator housing exclusively designed for the Sundstrom SR-100 Half Face Respirator. The HS-4 has been designed by firefighters specifically for Wildland firefighting, but has found application in other industries that utilize the Sundstrom brand of Half Face Respirators (Model SR100), yet want protection against burns.
The HS-4 is constructed of CarbonX®, the only inherently nonflammable fabric in the world. A high degree of filtration, the ability to fit test individuals and boasting the easiest air exchange available in a half face respirator, the SR-100 married to the HS-4 CarbonX® Housing is the top of the line facial and respiratory protection option outside of a positive pressure breathing apparatus.
